Pinch of Cumin

Turkey breast with crystallized cinnamon apple

This is exactly what happens when I see loose things in the fridge and I have to take advantage of them in some way. I end up making my own inventions, in this case very tasty and extremely easy. The thing is that I had turkey steaks and apples just for show, waiting for the creative inspiration to come. With turkey there was not a big problem, since I had it frozen and it could have been sitting there peacefully while waiting, but apples had already started to wrinkle and that is a clear sign that I needed to make my grey matter work to think about a good plan.

I have to confess that this is the first time I cook turkey breast this way, and as it has been happenning for a while, as soon as I cook something that is worth it, I turn on my computer and write down what I have done in my blog pages in order to be able to repeat it anywhere in the world when I really want something this tasty.

And also… so that you can also try it ;).

Directions

Peel apples and chop them into medium sized cubes. Put water to boil in a saucepan and when it starts to boil, add apples together with cinnamon stick and teaspoon of sugar, and let it boil for around 15 minutes.

Spread paprika and poppy seed on turkey breast steaks and fry them lightly, about 2 minutes each side.

Serve it together with crystallized apple and chopped parsley or scallion.

To be considered

You can replace crystallized apples with baked potatoes or salad.

Also a great result if you do the same with chicken breast.
